Terms of Service

TriviaNexus ("we", "us") is based in the Republic of Serbia. By accessing or using TriviaNexus, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent to use the Service and to accept these Terms.

2. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining account confidentiality
  • All activity under your account
  • Providing accurate registration information

Guest accounts may be limited and tied to a device. Converting a guest account to a full account does not remove your obligation to follow these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Cheat or exploit game mechanics
  • Harass or abuse other users
  • Use bots, scripts, or automation
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems
  • Upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content
  • Violate any laws

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts violating these rules, including through strikes, mutes, or bans.

4. User Content, Chat, and Social Features

The Service may include chat, friends, clans, profiles, reports, blocking, and similar social features. You retain ownership of content you submit, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, transmit, and otherwise use that content as needed to operate and improve the Service.

You are solely responsible for your messages, images, audio, and profile content. We may remove or restrict content and take enforcement action for violations. Reporting and blocking tools may be available in the app; decisions on moderation are at our discretion.

5. Virtual Items & Progress

Game progress, points, leaderboards, and virtual items (including Trivia Coins, Brain Gems, and similar):

  • Have no real-world monetary value
  • Cannot be transferred or sold
  • May be modified, reset, or removed at any time

Competitive features (duels, ranked play, clans, seasons, and similar) may change as the Service evolves.

6. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Refunds

The Service may offer in-app purchases and auto-renewing subscriptions (for example Premium) through the Apple App Store or Google Play, processed via those stores and RevenueCat.

  • Prices and available plans are shown in the store UI before purchase
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in your Apple or Google account settings
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies; contact the store for refund requests
  • Purchased benefits may be lost if your account is terminated for Terms violations

EU/EEA consumers may have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content under applicable law. This right may not apply once performance of the digital content has begun with your prior express consent and acknowledgment that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal.

Subscription management (including viewing, changing, or cancelling subscriptions) is handled through your Apple or Google account settings on your device. We are not responsible for billing errors caused by the app stores.

7. Advertisements

TriviaNexus may display advertisements in some versions of the Service, including rewarded ads served via Google AdMob. Premium or other paid features may remove or limit ads where advertised. We are not responsible for third-party ad content. Advertising partners may process device identifiers as described in our Privacy Policy and their own policies.

8. Intellectual Property

All TriviaNexus platform content is owned by us or licensed to us, including:

  • Game design
  • Questions and content
  • Branding

You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission, except for your own user content as allowed by these Terms.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service may link to or rely on third parties (authentication providers, payment processors, analytics, push delivery, external websites opened from chat link previews, and app stores). Your use of those services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

10. Service Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available."

We may:

  • Modify features
  • Suspend or discontinue parts of the Service
  • Perform maintenance

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

TriviaNexus shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Data loss
  • Loss of progress or virtual items
  • Service interruptions

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under mandatory consumer protection law.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • We are required by law
  • We discontinue the Service

You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time from Profile > Account Settings, or by contacting support@trivianexus.app. For details on deletion, see our Privacy Policy and the account deletion page on trivianexus.app.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Serbia have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. We will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated Terms, except where applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
